The Hasselblad medium format cameras are the most advanced professional equipment available today. Images taken with the Hasselblad are sharper than the best of cameras with 24x36 mm sensors, and typically have a more impressive depth of field.

At 36 megapixels this camera us provides more resolution, depth and definition than any other SLR of the same size and weight. Pictures taken with this camera can be printed at sizes up to 50x75 cm (20x30 inches), and far beyond with upsampling.

D3s, the fastest SLR in its time

With this camera, except in very special circumstances, there is no need for flash as it is possible to raise the sensitivity to ISO 12,800 and beyond, up to ISO 102,400.

Therefore the skin in pictures lit only by ambient tungsten creates a results in a softer image with a more natural look.

That said, in general, it’s not necessary to raise the sensitivity that far as it is sufficient with lower levels even to obtain a generous amount of depth of field.
